Northeastern provides students with intercultural learning and transformative experience through its various global campuses. DAS is committed to working closely with the University’s global offices to support students’ accommodations globally.
Global Experiences
The Global Experiences Office offers transformative global experiences for learners at all levels. First-year programs may include New York Scholars, London Scholars, and N.U.in. Additional global study experiences include Study Abroad, Dialogues of Civilization, Semester/Summer In, and Incoming Exchange. Students engaging in global experiences are welcome to contact DAS about applying for accommodations or accessing accommodations globally. Specific guidelines for each global experience program are outlined below.
Please note that not all accommodations can be offered by each program or in every location abroad. It can also take longer to secure available accommodations in other countries, so it is important to review your options and request accommodations as early as possible. Housing accommodations may vary by global site and not all accommodations approved or implemented at the Boston campus may directly translate to an abroad program, given the differences in culture, disability law, program requirements, and campus structure. It is therefore strongly encouraged that you connect with your DAS specialist and program advisors directly to discuss these considerations as soon as possible.

N.U.in
Students Admitted to N.U.in will begin their studies in the Fall semester at one of our partner institutions around the world before returning to Boston in January for the Spring semester. In this program, students will experience new cultures, pursue academics, and gain independence while earning college credits. Depending on the N.U.in site location you are assigned, the process for submitting documentation will be either a one or two step process to determine eligibility for accommodations. It is recommended that you begin the process of submitting documentation as soon as you know your N.U.in site location, as some sites have deadlines in place for documentation submission. Please contact DAS with any questions related to submitting documentation for the N.U.in program and include your N.U.in site location in your outreach.
For the locations listed below, submit directly to the site below for the Fall, as well as DAS Boston so accommodations are in place for the Spring semester:
N.U.in Ireland– University College Dublin
N.U.in Northern Ireland- Queen’s University Belfast
N.U.in Scotland– University of Glasgow
N.U.in Spain– St. Louis University Madrid
N.U.in Italy– John Cabot University (July 1 deadline)
N.U.in Portugal- Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) Lisbon (August 1 deadline)
N.U.in Germany- Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) Berlin (August 1 deadline)
For the locations below, students only need to submit to DAS Boston and any accommodation approvals will be shared directly with the site.
N.U.in Greece– American College of Thessaloniki
N.U.in Czech Republic– University of New York at Prague
To ensure all accommodations are in place before departure, we encourage you to submit by July 15. For more information on how to request accommodations and submit documentation specific to sites, please contact DAS Boston or the N.U.in Team. View additional N.U.in DAS resources here:
